An Inconvenient Truth

I just watched An Inconvenient Truth last night; wow, what a wake up call! If you haven’t seen it, please check it out. It’s a vital documentary. Global warming is something that all of us have become sort of used to as a phrase. Until last night, I hadn’t taken it as seriously as I need to. I took this test to see how my personal emissions (hey! no snickering!!) are in comparison to what they should be if I’m going to help get America’s emissions back down to a reasonable level. Some things you can do, just right off the bat are: ride your bike when you can, use energy efficient bulbs, don’t use energy if it’s not necessary (keep your A/C a bit higher than you normally do, turn your heat down just a bit, turn off your heat at night, don’t leave lights on when you’re not using them, etc.), recycle, and buy appliances that have the “energy star” logo on them. These are some pretty easy ways of making sure that we have a planet to live on.
